I've used the auction rooms before, but don't have the patience to wait to make a bid on repeat deposit.
Many times I forget to "bid" before I deposit, so I've missed out on a lot of vouchers, but that's my problem. Other times, I just want to make deposits and play and not wait for a bid to "finally" come up.
My biggest issue is having to wait for a NEW account deal to come up in the Auction room. Sometimes Ive waited DAYS for it to come up for that particular casino. I would suggest NEW account deals be inserted more often so the wait time is more reasonable.
Back in the day, when there were thousands of gg points to bid on, I spent more time in the Auction rooms, but I seldom go there now.
I probably wouldn't miss it much if it was removed at this point, but if you had a lot of gg points to "bid" on, I might change my mind. That, or have the NEW account auctions come up more often.
And in conclusion: I can take it or leave it.
