I'd suggest to everyone (if you don't already have one) to open an account with Bank of America or Citibank. With the consulting stuff I do, I've learned far more about banking/processing than I ever hoped to and I can tell you that BofA or Citi are the two easiest banks when it comes to A) international wires and B) clearing international checks. If you have a credit union or use a small bank, the odds are very good you won't be able to receive an international wire and IF they'll accept an international check, you'll have extended hold times (from 2 - 8 weeks). At this point, you may want to stay away from Wells Fargo for two reasons: First, the fees with WF are outrageous and second, because they've recently identified a few processors. Chase is quite good, provided you only receive a limited number of wires or checks (one a month or so).
