Won on line - got check - deposited it as advised - 2 wks late told check is 'bogus'

I was playing at 1 our past sponsors and had a great day...cashed out $725 and got the check in a fairly reasonable amount of time. The casino had advised me to deposit the check in a bank account...I did that and now, 2 later, the bank just informed me that the check was no good and the $$ would be removed from my account :mad: ....I have played with this casino for 10+ years and I have cashed out more than a few times without hassles - I really get upset with my government for making it such a nightmare to deposit and collect - if you're lucky enough to win!!!
Not having been around the Forum for a bit, I'm not sure if this is in the correct place and also wondering if anyone has any advice for me as to how I should proceed??

I would think the 1st thing you would do is contact the casino with the details to see what they say then proceed based on that. Please keep us in the loop on how things go on this. I have heard of this happening and after awhile it is usually resolved. Mostly what im reading now is about checks being rejected by banks, and some being deposited then pulled and sent back, playing havoc with peoples balances and resulting in NSF'S ..SUCKS! If this is a former sponsor im sure Greedy or Dee can find the rep for it...I hope. Im glad Krystal K has some info, hoping she will share that as well.
